
- The CREFAL, Center of Regional Cooperation for the Education
of Adults in Latin America and the Caribbean, is an independent
international organism, created in 1950 by the IV Conference
of UNESCO, with the participation of the Organization of American
States (O.A.S.) andthe government of Mexico. The CREFAL impels
programs of formation of training in diverse countries, actions
of systematization and evaluation, investigations educative,
spreading and application of the technology in the education
of adults; it offers technical supports to governments and public
institutions, nongovernmental organisms and of financing, to
private organizations and social, and Hispanic communities in
the United States and Canada, and bilingual in the
- Caribbean. Its mission is to cooperate in the formation
of training and the development of technologies and educative
models for young people and adults, in order to contribute to
the construction of a society without exclusions.
